My son and I don’t know what to have for breakfast as we are not part of the Kelloggs club! I am often looking for interesting ways to have something to eat or drink about 9 or 9.30 after my yoga or walk. This is a very filling choice and can be had anytime of the day!
2 tablespoons chia seeds soaked in 50 ml of water in the blender jar for ten minutes
2 tablespoons ground almonds (almond meal)
1 cup frozen mixed berries
1 scoop of any protein powder
2 tablespoons of powdered oats (I powder oats separately in a food processor and store in a jar to use for smoothies)
1 tablespoon honey
450ml water
METHOD
Soak chia seeds for at least ten minutes. Add the ground almonds, mixed berries, protein powder, powdered oats, honey and water. Blitz in blender for a minute or minute and twenty seconds. Makes 800ml. Serve cold. Serves 2.
